DXtrade Trade Copier

ConnectX Copy connects DXtrade accounts as master or slave, which matters most to traders on prop firms that issue DXtrade accounts rather than MetaTrader.

DXtrade accounts can also execute TradingView alerts, with one caveat worth knowing before you set them up: alerts must not carry a stop loss or take profit.

What DXtrade supports

Both what it does and what it does not. The limitations are as useful to know as the features when you are deciding which account should lead.

  • Copy as master or slave
  • TradingView alert executionSupported, but the alert must not include a stop loss or take profit.
  • Partial close
  • Stop-loss / take-profit on entryStops are not attached at entry on DXtrade, so an alert carrying them is rejected rather than opening an unprotected position.
  • Modify stops after entryNo order-modify path is available for DXtrade.
  • Real-time tickets streamDXtrade is reconciled by polling rather than the MT push stream.

Execution and symbol considerations

A TradingView alert sent to a DXtrade account must not carry a stop loss or take profit. Such an alert is rejected deliberately, because opening the position without the protection the alert asked for would be worse than not opening it at all.

Manage risk on DXtrade through lot sizing and equity protection rather than per-trade stops attached at entry.

Instrument naming on DXtrade differs from MetaTrader conventions, so symbol mapping is usually needed when pairing the two.

Risk management

All five sizing modes are available: Fixed Lot, Lot Multiplier, Balance Multiplier, Fixed Balance Multiplier and Equity Multiplier.

Equity protection is particularly relevant here, since it operates at account level and does not depend on per-trade stops.

Filters by symbol, lot size, direction, magic number and comment apply.

DXtrade questions

Can I copy from MT5 to DXtrade?

Yes, in either direction. Symbol mapping handles instrument naming differences between the platforms.

Can DXtrade execute TradingView alerts?

Yes, provided the alert does not include a stop loss or take profit. An alert carrying those is rejected rather than opening a position without them.

How do I manage risk without stops at entry?

Use lot sizing and equity protection, which work at account level: an equity stop-loss, take-profit or drawdown limit can close copied trades or every trade.

Is DXtrade suitable for prop firm accounts?

It is a common prop firm platform, and copying works the same as any other supported platform. Check your firm’s own rules on copy trading before you begin.
