MT4 to DXtrade Trade Copier

Run your strategy on MT4 and have DXtrade accounts follow it, with sizing converted for DXtrade and stops managed on the copy.

ConnectX Copy connects an MT4 master to DXtrade destinations. Trades you take on MT4 — by hand or from an Expert Advisor — are reproduced on the DXtrade account without you entering them twice.

MT4 is still where most Expert Advisors live, and DXtrade is increasingly where the account you want to trade lives. This pairing lets you keep the strategy exactly where it is and simply point the result at a different platform.

If your MT4 account runs more than one system, magic number and comment filters send only the one that belongs on the destination.

How MT4 → DXtrade copying works

01

MT4 master is watched

Connect the account by login, password and server. Its trades arrive on a real-time push stream.

02

DXtrade is connected

Connect the DXtrade account with its login, account code and broker URL.

03

The size is converted

DXtrade sizes orders in units rather than lots, so the MT4 lot is converted using the instrument’s contract size before the order goes out.

04

DXtrade executes and is protected

The position opens, then any stop and target are attached as linked protection orders on the new position.

What ConnectX Copy can copy on this pair

Including what it cannot. The limits are as useful as the features when you are choosing which account should lead.

  • Entry and close copying
  • Stop loss and take profitAttached as linked protection orders once the position is confirmed.
  • Stop changes after entryA stop moved on MT4 is applied to the copy by replacing its protection order.
  • Partial close
  • Magic number and comment filtersCopy one EA’s trades and ignore everything else on the MT4 account.
  • Multiple destinations
  • Symbol mapping
  • Copy existing open trades

Risk and lot-sizing controls

Fixed lot, lot multiplier, or scaling by the DXtrade account’s balance or equity.

Fixed master balance sizing, so topping up the MT4 account does not resize the copy.

Magic number and comment filters, which matter on MT4 where several EAs often share one login.

Direction and lot-range filters to decide which trades are copied at all.

Equity protection on the DXtrade account with alert, pause or close actions and an optional daily reset.

Symbol mapping

MT4 brokers append suffixes and DXtrade brokers use their own instrument names — EURUSD on one side is commonly EUR/USD on the other.

Automatic matching covers the common instruments and explicit mappings handle the rest.

Because DXtrade quotes size in units, the contract size is applied while the lot is calculated rather than afterwards, so the destination carries the exposure you intended.

Platform-specific behaviour

A copier involving DXtrade is reconciled over REST on a short cycle rather than a push stream, so the copy arrives within seconds rather than instantly.

Stops on DXtrade are separate linked orders placed once the position is confirmed, so there is a brief moment between the fill and the stop being in place.

Important limitations

  • Every account you connect — master and destination — uses one connection on your plan.

Setting it up

  1. 01Connect your MT4 account as the master.
  2. 02Connect the DXtrade account with its login, account code and broker URL.
  3. 03Create the copier, pick the sizing rule and set any magic-number filters.
  4. 04Add magic number filters if the MT4 account runs more than one strategy.
  5. 05Place a small MT4 trade and confirm it arrives with its stop attached.

Common use cases

Keeping an EA on MT4

The Expert Advisor stays where it was written; only the result travels to DXtrade.

Sending one system to a firm account

Magic filters copy the strategy that belongs on the destination and leave your discretionary trades behind.

Trading a DXtrade broker without changing platform

You keep the MT4 workflow you know and still hold the position where you need it.

MT4 → DXtrade questions

Do my copied DXtrade positions get a stop loss?

Yes, when the MT4 trade carries one. It is attached as a linked protection order once the position is confirmed, rather than travelling inside the entry itself.

Can I copy just one EA from my MT4 account?

Yes. Magic number and comment filters copy only the matching trades, which is the usual way to separate systems sharing an account.

Do trailing stops follow to DXtrade?

Yes. When the stop moves on MT4 the protection order on the DXtrade side is replaced at the new level.

Why is the lot size different on DXtrade?

DXtrade sizes in units rather than lots. The conversion is applied automatically so the exposure matches, even though the number shown differs.

How quickly does the copy appear?

DXtrade is reconciled over REST on a short cycle, so expect seconds rather than instant execution.
