Trade Copier for Signal Providers

Publish from one account to many, with each destination scaled to its own balance and only the strategy you choose being distributed.

A signal provider’s problem is distribution, not analysis. The trade is decided once; the work is getting it into a set of accounts that differ in size, broker and platform, without the provider re-entering it anywhere.

ConnectX Copy treats the provider’s trading account as the master and each destination as its own copier. Sizing, filters and delay are set per destination, so one signal can arrive as different lot sizes in different accounts.

Who this is for

  • Traders distributing their own entries to a set of accounts they or their subscribers have connected.
  • Providers running several strategies in one terminal who need to publish only one of them.
  • Providers whose destinations sit on different platforms from their own trading account.

The problem

Destinations are never uniform. They differ in balance, in broker, in symbol naming and often in platform, so a single fixed lot size is wrong almost everywhere.

A terminal running several expert advisors compounds it: without a way to separate them, every strategy in that terminal is published, including the ones that were never meant to be.

How ConnectX Copy handles it

Magic number and comment filters decide what leaves the master at all. Each can be set to copy only trades carrying a value, or to ignore trades carrying it — so one EA in a busy terminal can be published while the rest stay private.

Balance Multiplier and Equity Multiplier size each destination against its own account rather than the master’s, so a small account receives a proportionally small position.

An optional per-copier delay staggers execution where a provider wants destinations not to hit the market at the same instant as the master.

Features that matter here

Strategy filtering by magic number

Copy only the trades of one EA, or exclude one, using the magic number it stamps on its orders.

Comment filtering

The same allow-or-exclude logic applied to the order comment, for strategies that tag trades that way.

Per-destination scaling

Each copier carries its own sizing mode, so destinations of different sizes receive proportional positions.

Execution delay

A deliberate per-copier delay in milliseconds, applied before the destination order is sent.

Direction and lot-range filters

Publish buys only, sells only, or exclude trades outside a chosen size band.

Symbol mapping

Destination brokers rarely name instruments identically; mapping resolves them so a signal is not dropped for a naming difference.

Example workflow

  1. 01Connect the signal accountThe account you trade becomes the master.
  2. 02Connect each destinationEvery destination account is added to the same ConnectX account.
  3. 03Filter what is publishedIf the terminal runs several strategies, set a magic number or comment filter so only the intended one is copied.
  4. 04Scale each destinationChoose Balance Multiplier so each account receives a position proportional to its own balance.
  5. 05Add a delay if wantedSet a per-copier delay where destinations should not execute at the same instant as the master.

Risk and control considerations

Sizing by balance is not the same as sizing by risk. A destination with the same balance but a different leverage or instrument set can end up carrying a different exposure than intended.

A delay is a deliberate trade-off: it staggers execution but the destination fills at a later price, which on a fast entry is a real cost.

Symbol mapping should be checked per destination before going live. A mis-mapped symbol sends a real order to the wrong instrument.

What to know before you rely on it

  • ConnectX Copy has no follower marketplace. There is no subscribe button and no public listing: every destination account has to be connected inside your own ConnectX account, which means you hold or have been given those credentials.
  • That makes this suitable for distributing to accounts you control or have been given direct access to, rather than for selling a signal to an anonymous audience.
  • Each connected destination counts as a billed connection.
  • Stops can only be moved after entry on MT4, MT5 and Match-Trader destinations. A DXtrade destination receives no stop or target at all.

Signal Providers: common questions

Can subscribers connect their own accounts?

Not through a subscribe mechanism — ConnectX Copy has no follower marketplace. Destination accounts are connected inside your own ConnectX account, so this suits distributing to accounts you control or have been given access to.

I run several EAs in one terminal. Can I publish just one?

Yes. Filter by the magic number that EA stamps on its orders, or by order comment, and only those trades are copied.

How do I handle destinations of very different sizes?

Use Balance Multiplier or Equity Multiplier so each destination is sized against its own account rather than the master’s.

Can I stagger execution?

Yes, with a per-copier delay in milliseconds. Bear in mind the destination then fills at a later price.
