Multi-Account Trade Copier
Place a trade once and have every account you own follow it, whichever broker or platform each one sits on.
Traders accumulate accounts: one broker for spreads, another for instruments, a third for a platform they prefer. Trading them individually means repeating the same decision several times and accepting that the fills will not match.
ConnectX Copy makes one account the master and mirrors it to the rest. The interesting part is not the copying — it is reconciling accounts that name instruments differently and define contract sizes differently.
Who this is for
- Traders holding accounts at more than one broker.
- Traders whose accounts span platforms — an MT4 account here, a cTrader account there.
- Traders consolidating or migrating between brokers who want both running in step during the transition.
The problem
The same instrument is rarely called the same thing twice. One broker quotes EURUSD, another EURUSD.r, a third EURUSDm, and a copier that cannot reconcile those simply fails to place the trade.
Contract sizes differ too, particularly across platforms, so an identical lot number can mean a different position size on the destination.
How ConnectX Copy handles it
Symbols are matched by normalising both names — slashes, dots, hashes and underscores are stripped — then trying an exact match, a prefix match, a bi-directional contains match, and finally contract-size proximity. Anything left over can be mapped explicitly, once.
Contract alignment converts the lot by the ratio of master to destination contract size and then rounds to the destination’s own lot step, so the position means the same thing on both sides.
Each destination keeps its own sizing mode, so a smaller account is not forced to mirror the master’s absolute lot size.
Features that matter here
Automatic symbol matching
Normalisation plus exact, prefix, contains and contract-size matching resolves most broker naming differences without configuration.
Manual symbol mapping
Where the matcher cannot resolve a name, pair it explicitly once and the copier uses your mapping from then on.
Contract alignment
Lot converted by the ratio of contract sizes, then rounded to the destination’s lot step. On by default.
Cross-platform copying
Any supported platform can lead and any other can follow, so accounts do not have to share a broker or a platform.
Per-account sizing
Each destination carries its own sizing mode and its own minimum and maximum lot enforcement.
Copy existing trades
A newly added account can optionally be seeded with the positions already open on the master.
Example workflow
- 01Choose the masterPick the account you actually trade; the others follow it.
- 02Connect the restAdd each account, whichever broker or platform it is on.
- 03Create one copier per accountEach pairs the master with one destination.
- 04Check the symbol mappingReview the instruments you actually trade and map anything the matcher could not resolve.
- 05Size each destinationLeave contract alignment on and choose a sizing mode appropriate to that account’s balance.
Risk and control considerations
Verify mapping on the instruments you actually trade before going live. An unmapped symbol means a missed trade; a wrongly mapped one means a real position in the wrong instrument.
Rounding to the destination’s lot step can round a small converted size down. Check what a typical trade becomes on your smallest account.
Only MT4, MT5 and Match-Trader destinations can have a stop moved after entry. If your strategy trails stops, a cTrader or TradeLocker account will hold the stop where it was placed at entry, and a DXtrade account receives no stop at all.
What to know before you rely on it
- An instrument the destination broker does not offer cannot be copied at all. Filter those symbols out rather than leaving the copier to attempt them.
- Each connected account counts as a billed connection.
- Real-time push is available on MT4 and MT5; other platforms are reconciled by polling.

Multi-Account Traders: common questions
My brokers name symbols differently. Is that a problem?
Usually not. Names are normalised and matched by exact, prefix, contains and contract-size proximity. Anything that cannot be resolved automatically can be mapped explicitly, once per symbol.
Do the accounts have to be on the same platform?
No. Any supported platform can lead and any other can follow, in any combination.
Why is the copied lot size different from the master’s?
Contract alignment converts the lot by the ratio of contract sizes, then rounds to the destination’s lot step. Your chosen sizing mode is applied on top.
Can I add an account mid-trade?
Yes, and you can optionally seed it with positions already open on the master — entered at current prices rather than the master’s originals.
