Trade Copier for Prop Firm Traders
Trade once and mirror it across your funded accounts, each with its own sizing and its own drawdown limits.
Traders running evaluations or funded accounts usually hold several at once, often at firms on different platforms. Placing the same trade by hand across all of them is slow and inconsistent, and one mistimed entry can breach a rule on an account you were not watching.
ConnectX Copy runs one account as the master and mirrors it to each funded account as a separate copier. Because every copier holds its own settings, each funded account can carry the sizing and the protection limits its own firm requires.
Who this is for
- Traders holding more than one evaluation or funded account, at one firm or several.
- Traders whose firms run different platforms — many issue DXtrade, Match-Trader or TradeLocker accounts rather than MetaTrader.
- Traders who want a personal account to lead and the funded accounts to follow at reduced size.
The problem
Funded accounts come with rules attached: a maximum daily loss, an overall drawdown limit, and often restrictions on lot size. Those limits differ between firms and between account sizes, so the same trade needs different sizing on each account.
Manual replication makes that worse. Entering the same trade five times means five chances to fat-finger a size, and closing them in sequence means the last account exits at a different price from the first.
How ConnectX Copy handles it
One copier per funded account, each configured independently. The master is placed once; every destination receives it sized by its own rule.
Equity protection is configured per account, with thresholds expressed as a percentage, a fixed amount in account currency, or a minimum absolute equity — whichever matches the way that firm writes its rule.
Daily reset is the setting that matters most for daily-loss rules: with it on, drawdown tracking restarts at the beginning of each day rather than accumulating across the evaluation.
Features that matter here
Per-account drawdown thresholds
Set a stop as a percentage of balance, a fixed monetary loss, or a minimum equity floor. Take-profit thresholds work the same way.
Daily reset
Drawdown tracking resets at the start of each day, which is how most daily-loss rules are written.
Three independent protection actions
When a threshold trips, ConnectX Copy can disable the copier, close only the trades it opened, or close every trade on the account. They are selected independently, and all three were verified end-to-end against a live broker on 2026-08-18.
Lot caps and floors
A lot range filter ignores trades outside a size band, and minimum/maximum lot enforcement clamps the result to the destination broker’s own limits.
Sizing per account
Balance Multiplier and Equity Multiplier scale to each funded account’s own size, so a larger account is not forced onto the master’s lot size.
Dedicated IP
An optional dedicated egress IP per account, for traders whose firm is sensitive to multiple accounts sharing an address.
Direction and instrument filters
Copy buys only, sells only, or restrict which symbols are mirrored at all.
Example workflow
- 01Connect the personal accountAdd the account you actually trade as the master.
- 02Connect each funded accountAdd every funded account, whichever platform the firm issues.
- 03Create one copier per funded accountEach pairs the master with one destination and holds its own settings.
- 04Size each destinationUse Balance Multiplier so each account trades in proportion to its own balance rather than the master’s.
- 05Set protection to match the firm’s ruleEnter that firm’s daily loss and overall drawdown as thresholds, turn on daily reset, and choose what happens when a threshold trips.
Risk and control considerations
Set protection thresholds tighter than the firm’s published limit, not equal to it. A threshold that trips at exactly the breach point leaves no room for the spread and slippage on the closing trades themselves.
Decide deliberately between closing only copied trades and closing everything on the account. If you also trade the funded account by hand, the two are very different outcomes.
Stops can only be moved after entry on MT4, MT5 and Match-Trader. If your firm issued a DXtrade or TradeLocker account, a trailing stop on the master will not trail on that copy — and a DXtrade copy receives no stop or target at all, so plan protection at account level instead.
What to know before you rely on it
- Whether copy trading is allowed on a funded account is your firm’s rule, not something ConnectX Copy can grant. Check the account agreement before you begin; some firms restrict copying between their own accounts or from external sources.
- Each connected account counts as a billed connection.
- Equity protection acts on the thresholds you set. It is a tool for enforcing your own discipline, not a guarantee against a gap that moves through your level.

Prop Firm Traders: common questions
Can I copy to more than one funded account?
Yes. Create one copier per funded account; they all share the same master and each keeps its own sizing and protection settings.
Does it handle daily loss limits?
Equity protection has a daily reset option, so drawdown tracking restarts at the beginning of each day rather than accumulating — which is how most daily-loss rules are written.
My firm uses DXtrade, not MetaTrader. Does that work?
Yes. DXtrade, Match-Trader and TradeLocker are all supported as destinations, and the master can be on any supported platform.
Is copy trading allowed on funded accounts?
That depends entirely on your firm. Some permit it, some restrict it, some allow it only between their own accounts. Read your account agreement first — it is their rule, not a setting we control.
What is the dedicated IP for?
It gives an account its own outbound IP address rather than a shared one. Some traders use it where a firm is sensitive to multiple accounts appearing from the same address.
