The Cross-Broker Challenge
You have MT5 accounts at two different brokers. Maybe one has better spreads on forex, the other offers indices you can't get elsewhere. Or you want to diversify your capital across multiple brokers for safety. Either way, you need trades to sync between them.
MT5 has no built-in way to copy between accounts at different brokers. Local copy EAs only work within the same MetaTrader installation. That's where a cloud-based copier comes in.
Setup in 3 Steps
1. Add Both MT5 Accounts
In the ConnectXCopy dashboard, add your first MT5 account (Broker A) and your second MT5 account (Broker B). For each, enter the account number, password, and select the broker server.
2. Create the Copier
Go to Copiers > New Copier. Select Broker A's account as master and Broker B's account as slave. Configure lot sizing and risk settings.
3. Start
Click Start. Every trade on Broker A is now copied to Broker B in under 200ms.
Symbol Mapping
Different brokers name the same instrument differently:
| Broker A | Broker B | Same Instrument |
|---|---|---|
| EURUSD | EURUSDm | EUR/USD |
| XAUUSD | GOLD | Gold |
| US30 | DJ30 | Dow Jones 30 |
ConnectXCopy auto-maps most common symbols. For exotic instruments, add custom mappings in the copier settings.
Lot Sizing for Different Balances
If Broker A has $50,000 and Broker B has $10,000, use balance ratio lot sizing. The copier automatically scales trades — a 1.0 lot trade on the master becomes 0.2 lots on the slave.
Bidirectional Copying
You can also set up two copiers in opposite directions to sync accounts bidirectionally. However, for most use cases, one master and one slave is the simpler and safer approach.
No VPS, no EA installation, no same-terminal requirement. Just cloud-based cross-broker MT5 copying.
