DXtrade to MT5 Trade Copier
Copy a DXtrade account onto MT5, with sizes converted back to lots and the destination free to manage stops and pending orders.
ConnectX Copy reproduces DXtrade trades on MT5. Use this direction when DXtrade holds the account you trade and MT5 is where the matching position belongs.
MT5 is the most capable destination ConnectX Copy offers, so nothing about the copy is constrained on the receiving side — stops at entry, stops moved later, pending orders and all five sizing modes are available.
Size is converted on the way through: DXtrade quantities are units, and they are turned back into MT5 lots using the instrument’s contract size.
How DXtrade → MT5 copying works
DXtrade is connected
Add the master with its login, account code and broker URL.
MT5 destinations are attached
Add each MT5 account by login, password and server.
Units become lots
The quantity is divided by the contract size to give an MT5 lot.
MT5 executes and keeps up
The position opens with its stop and target and follows later changes.
What ConnectX Copy can copy on this pair
Including what it cannot. The limits are as useful as the features when you are choosing which account should lead.
- Entry and close copying
- Stop loss and take profit
- Stop changes after entry
- Partial close
- Pending orders
- Unit-to-lot conversion
- Multiple MT5 destinations
- Copy existing open trades
Risk and lot-sizing controls
All five sizing modes are available on the destination: fixed lot, lot multiplier, balance or equity scaling, and scaling against a fixed master balance.
Minimum and maximum lot enforcement for each MT5 broker.
Direction and lot-range filters on the DXtrade master.
Equity protection per MT5 destination, with alert, pause or close actions and an optional daily reset.
Symbol mapping
DXtrade instrument names and MT5 broker symbols differ, and MT5 adds its own suffixes.
Explicit mappings cover indices and metals where naming diverges most.
The contract size behind the unit-to-lot conversion comes from the DXtrade instrument, or from its asset class where none is published.
Platform-specific behaviour
With DXtrade on the source side the copier reconciles over REST on a short cycle, so copies land within seconds.
The MT5 destination is real-time and loses nothing from the crossing.
Important limitations
- Connections are per account, so a master feeding three MT5 accounts uses four.
Setting it up
- 01Connect the DXtrade account as the master.
- 02Connect each MT5 account that should follow.
- 03Create the copier and choose a sizing rule.
- 04Confirm symbol mappings.
- 05Place a small trade and check the lot that arrives.

DXtrade → MT5 questions
How is the MT5 lot calculated?
The DXtrade quantity in units is divided by the instrument’s contract size, so 1,000 units of a forex pair becomes 0.01 lots before your sizing rule is applied.
Do stops and targets copy?
Yes, and MT5 can also move them later, so a trailing stop on the master reaches the copy.
Can pending orders be copied?
Yes on MT5, when pending-order copying is enabled.
How fast is it?
DXtrade is read over REST on a short cycle, so expect seconds.
Can one DXtrade account feed several MT5 accounts?
Yes, each with independent sizing and protection.
