MT5 to MT5 Trade Copier
Copy one MT5 account to as many other MT5 accounts as you need — across brokers, at any account size, with sizing and risk set per destination.
ConnectX Copy mirrors every trade from one MT5 account to others in real time. Entries, exits, partial closes and stop changes all follow, so the destination accounts stay in step with the master without anyone watching them.
Because both ends speak the same platform, this is the most complete pairing ConnectX Copy offers: everything the master does can be reproduced on the copy, including moving a stop after the trade is already open.
The accounts do not have to be at the same broker. Different brokers, different account currencies, different contract sizes and different symbol names are all handled for you.
How MT5 → MT5 copying works
The master is connected
Add the MT5 account you trade with its login, password and server. Its activity arrives on a real-time push stream.
Destinations are attached
Add one or more MT5 accounts as destinations. Each gets its own sizing rule and risk settings.
Trades are translated
The symbol is matched to each destination broker’s name and the lot is calculated for that account.
The copy stays in step
Closes, partial closes and stop or target changes on the master are reproduced on every destination.
What ConnectX Copy can copy on this pair
Including what it cannot. The limits are as useful as the features when you are choosing which account should lead.
- Entry and close copying
- Stop loss and take profitCopied at entry and kept in step afterwards.
- Stop changes after entryMT5 supports order modification, so a trailing stop on the master trails on the copy.
- Partial close
- Pending orders
- Reverse copyingA destination can take the opposite side of every master trade.
- Copy existing open tradesPositions already open on the master can be copied when the link is created.
- Multiple destinations
- Real-time executionBoth sides use a push stream rather than polling.
Risk and lot-sizing controls
Fixed lot — every copied trade opens at a size you set, regardless of the master.
Lot multiplier — the master’s size times a factor, so a 1.00 master trade can arrive as 0.25.
Balance or equity multiplier — the copy is scaled by the ratio between the two accounts, so a smaller account takes proportionally smaller trades.
Fixed master balance — size against a balance figure you nominate instead of the master’s live balance, so deposits and withdrawals on the master do not change the copy.
Minimum and maximum lot enforcement clamps the result to what the destination broker actually allows.
Direction, lot-range and magic or comment filters decide which master trades are copied at all.
Equity protection can alert, pause the copier or close trades when a drawdown or profit threshold is reached, with an optional daily reset.
Symbol mapping
Broker symbol names differ even between two MT5 servers — EURUSD, EURUSD.m and EURUSDmicro are the same market with three names.
ConnectX Copy resolves the destination name automatically where it can, and you can set explicit mappings for anything unusual.
Contract sizes are aligned as part of sizing, so a broker quoting a different contract size does not silently change your risk.
Platform-specific behaviour
Both ends run on a real-time push stream, so copies are placed as the master trades rather than on a polling cycle.
This pairing supports the full feature set — there is no capability lost crossing a platform boundary, because there is no boundary to cross.
Important limitations
- Each connected account counts as a billed connection.
Setting it up
- 01Connect the MT5 account you trade as the master.
- 02Connect each MT5 account that should follow it.
- 03Create the copier, choose a sizing rule and set any filters.
- 04Optionally enable copying of trades that are already open.
- 05Place a small trade on the master and confirm it appears on the destinations.
Common use cases
Two brokers, one strategy
Trade your main account and have a second broker mirror it, for redundancy or better fills on certain instruments.
Scaling a small account alongside a large one
Balance-based sizing keeps the risk proportional rather than copying lot for lot.
Managing family or partner accounts
Several MT5 accounts follow one master, each sized to its own balance.
Separating a strategy from live capital
Run the idea on one account and copy it to another you use for reporting or withdrawal.

MT5 → MT5 questions
Can I copy between two different brokers?
Yes. That is the common case. Different symbol names, contract sizes and account currencies are all handled.
Do stop losses follow if I move them?
Yes. MT5 supports order modification on both sides, so a stop moved on the master is moved on the copy.
How many accounts can follow one master?
As many as you need. Each destination has its own sizing and risk settings and counts as a connection on your plan.
Can a destination take the opposite side?
Yes. Reverse copying opens the opposite direction of every master trade on that destination.
What if the two accounts have very different balances?
Use balance or equity multiplier sizing. The copy is scaled by the ratio between the accounts, so risk stays proportional.
