MT5 to TradeLocker Trade Copier

Copy MT5 trades to one or more TradeLocker accounts with automated execution, per-account position sizing and account-level risk controls.

ConnectX Copy connects an MT5 master to TradeLocker destinations, so a trade you take on MT5 appears on your TradeLocker accounts without being entered twice.

TradeLocker is widely used by funded-account providers, so this pairing usually means driving one or several firm-issued accounts from the MT5 account you actually trade on.

Each TradeLocker destination gets its own sizing rule and risk settings, so a small evaluation account and a larger funded one can follow the same master at appropriate sizes.

How MT5 → TradeLocker copying works

01

MT5 master is watched

Connect the MT5 account by login and server. Its activity arrives on a real-time push stream.

02

TradeLocker is connected

Connect the TradeLocker account with its email, password and environment.

03

The order is translated

The MT5 symbol is matched to TradeLocker’s name and the lot is calculated for that destination.

04

TradeLocker executes

The position opens with any stop and target sent at entry, and closes follow the master.

What ConnectX Copy can copy on this pair

Including what it cannot. The limits are as useful as the features when you are choosing which account should lead.

  • Entry and close copying
  • Stop loss and take profit at entryTradeLocker accepts stops sent with the entry.
  • Partial close
  • Multiple TradeLocker destinations
  • Per-destination position sizing
  • Symbol mapping
  • Copy existing open trades
  • Stop changes after entryTradeLocker has no order-modify path, so a stop stays where it was placed at entry.

Risk and lot-sizing controls

Fixed lot, lot multiplier, or scaling by the TradeLocker account’s balance or equity — the usual choice when an evaluation account is much smaller than the master.

Fixed master balance sizing so a deposit on the MT5 side does not resize the copy.

Minimum and maximum lot enforcement for the destination’s limits.

Direction, lot-range, magic number and comment filters on the master.

Equity protection with alert, pause or close actions and an optional daily reset, which lines up with the daily loss limits most firms set.

Symbol mapping

TradeLocker names instruments differently from MT5 brokers, so the symbol is resolved before the order is placed.

Automatic matching covers the common instruments and explicit mappings handle the rest.

Contract size differences are applied during sizing so the destination carries the risk you intended.

Platform-specific behaviour

TradeLocker is reconciled over its REST API on a short cycle rather than a push stream, so a copy can arrive a few seconds after the MT5 fill.

Because stops cannot be moved after entry on TradeLocker, a strategy that trails its stop is better protected here by account-level equity protection than by expecting the stop to follow.

Important limitations

  • Each connected account counts as a billed connection.
  • Whether copy trading is permitted on a funded or evaluation account is your firm’s rule — check your agreement before you begin.

Setting it up

  1. 01Connect your MT5 account as the master.
  2. 02Connect each TradeLocker account with its email, password and environment.
  3. 03Create the copier and choose the sizing rule per destination.
  4. 04Set equity protection thresholds if your firm enforces a daily loss limit.
  5. 05Place a small MT5 trade and confirm it arrives.

Common use cases

Running evaluations from one master

Take the trade once on MT5 and let several TradeLocker evaluations follow, each sized to its own rules.

Keeping a funded account in step

Once funded, the same master keeps driving the account without any change to how you trade.

Separating strategy from firm account

Your MT5 account stays the place you actually work; the firm account simply follows.

MT5 → TradeLocker questions

Can one MT5 account feed several TradeLocker accounts?

Yes. Attach as many destinations as you need, each with its own sizing rule and risk settings.

Will my copied trades have a stop loss?

Yes, if the master trade carries one — TradeLocker accepts stops sent with the entry.

Do trailing stops follow?

No. TradeLocker has no order-modify path, so a stop stays at the level it was placed. Account-level equity protection is the better tool there.

How fast does the copy arrive?

TradeLocker is reconciled over REST on a short cycle, so expect a few seconds rather than sub-second execution.

Is copy trading allowed on my funded account?

That is decided by your firm, not by ConnectX Copy. Check your account agreement first.
