TradingView to TradeLocker Trade Copier

Send TradingView alerts straight to your TradeLocker accounts, with position sizing, symbol mapping and per-account limits applied automatically.

ConnectX Copy executes TradingView alerts on TradeLocker. Point an alert at your private webhook address and the signal is placed on every TradeLocker account you have attached to that source.

This removes the manual step between a chart and a funded account. TradeLocker is common at prop firms, and alerts that used to be typed in by hand can be executed the moment they fire.

One alert can drive several TradeLocker accounts at once, each with its own sizing rule — useful when you are running more than one evaluation or funded account on the same idea.

How TradingView → TradeLocker copying works

01

You create a TradingView alert

Point it at the webhook URL from your ConnectX Copy dashboard and paste in the message template.

02

The alert is authenticated

A token in the URL and a secret in the message body mean only your alerts can trade your accounts.

03

Sizing and symbol are resolved

The chart symbol is mapped to TradeLocker’s instrument name and the lot is calculated per destination.

04

TradeLocker executes

The position opens with any stop and target the alert carried. Exit and reverse alerts close or flip it.

What ConnectX Copy can copy on this pair

Including what it cannot. The limits are as useful as the features when you are choosing which account should lead.

  • Entry, exit and reverse alerts
  • Stop loss and take profitTradeLocker accepts stops sent with the entry, so include sl and tp in the alert.
  • Partial close from an alertAn exit alert can carry a percentage.
  • Multiple TradeLocker destinations
  • Per-destination position sizing
  • Symbol mapping
  • Moving a stop with a later alertTradeLocker has no order-modify path, so a stop stays where the entry placed it.

Risk and lot-sizing controls

Choose fixed lot, a multiple of the signal, or sizing scaled to each account’s balance or equity.

Set a maximum lot per order so an oversized alert cannot place an oversized trade.

Cap the number of positions a signal source may hold open at once.

Equity protection can act on a destination when a drawdown or profit threshold is reached, with a daily reset that matches how most firms measure loss limits.

Symbol mapping

Chart symbols and TradeLocker instrument names rarely match exactly, so the mapping is resolved before the order is placed.

Indices and metals are the usual cases needing an explicit mapping.

Mappings are per signal source, so one alert can reach differently-named instruments on different accounts.

Platform-specific behaviour

Alerts place no stop or target unless the alert message carries them, so include sl and tp if you want every trade protected at entry.

Because a stop cannot be moved afterwards on TradeLocker, a trailing-stop strategy is better served here by account-level equity protection than by modify alerts.

Important limitations

  • TradingView must be on a plan that includes webhook notifications.
  • Whether alert-driven trading is permitted on a funded account is your firm’s rule — check your agreement first.

Setting it up

  1. 01Connect your TradeLocker account with its email, password and environment.
  2. 02Create a TradingView signal source and copy its webhook URL.
  3. 03Attach the TradeLocker account as a destination and choose its sizing rule.
  4. 04In TradingView, create the alert, select "Webhook URL" and paste in the URL and message.
  5. 05Fire a test alert and confirm the position opens.

Common use cases

Automating a strategy onto a funded account

The alert executes without you being at the screen when it fires.

Running several evaluations from one alert

Attach multiple TradeLocker accounts, each sized to its own rules.

Removing manual entry errors

The alert places exactly what the chart said, at the size configured.

TradingView → TradeLocker questions

Can one alert trade several TradeLocker accounts?

Yes. Attach as many destinations as you need to the same signal source, each with its own sizing and risk settings.

Will the trade have a stop loss?

Only if the alert carries one. TradeLocker accepts stops at entry, so include sl and tp in the alert message.

Can a later alert move the stop?

Not on TradeLocker — it has no order-modify path, so the stop stays where the entry put it. Use equity protection at account level for dynamic risk.

How fast does the trade appear?

The alert is executed as soon as it arrives; TradeLocker positions are then reconciled on a short cycle.

Is this allowed on a prop account?

That depends on your firm’s rules rather than on ConnectX Copy. Check your agreement before automating.
