TradingView to MT4 Trade Copier
Send your TradingView alerts straight to one or many MT4 accounts, with automatic position sizing, symbol mapping and per-account risk limits.
ConnectX Copy turns a TradingView alert into a real order on MT4. You point your alert at a private webhook address, and every signal your strategy or indicator fires is executed on the MT4 accounts you have connected — usually within a second of the alert arriving.
There is no Expert Advisor to install, nothing to keep running on a VPS and no bridge software on your desktop. TradingView sends the alert, ConnectX Copy places the trade, and your MT4 account does what your chart said it should.
The same alert can drive several MT4 accounts at once, each with its own lot sizing and risk settings, which is what makes this useful for anyone running the same idea across more than one broker or account size.
How TradingView → MT4 copying works
You create a TradingView alert
Point the alert at the private webhook URL from your ConnectX Copy dashboard and paste in the message template. Any strategy, indicator or manual alert works.
The alert reaches ConnectX Copy
The webhook is authenticated by a token in the URL and a secret in the message body, so only your alerts can trade your accounts.
Sizing and symbol are resolved
The chart symbol is mapped to the name your MT4 broker uses, and the lot is calculated from the sizing rule you chose for that account.
MT4 executes
The order opens on every connected MT4 destination. Exit and reverse alerts close or flip the position the same way.
What ConnectX Copy can copy on this pair
Including what it cannot. The limits are as useful as the features when you are choosing which account should lead.
- Entry, exit and reverse alertsA reverse alert closes the open side and opens the other in one step.
- Stop loss and take profitMT4 accepts stops sent with the entry, and a later modify alert can move them.
- Partial close from an alertAn exit alert can carry a percentage and close that share of the position.
- Multiple MT4 destinationsOne alert fans out to every MT4 account attached to that signal source.
- Per-destination position sizing
- Symbol mappingChart names like EURUSD are mapped to whatever your broker calls the instrument.
- Real-time executionMT4 runs on a push stream rather than polling.
Risk and lot-sizing controls
Choose how each MT4 account is sized: a fixed lot, a multiple of the signal, or a share scaled to that account’s balance or equity.
Set a maximum lot per order so an oversized alert cannot place an oversized trade.
Cap how many positions a signal source may hold open at once.
Equity protection can act on a destination account when a drawdown or profit threshold you set is reached.
Symbol mapping
TradingView chart symbols rarely match broker symbols exactly. ConnectX Copy resolves the name automatically where it can, and you can set an explicit mapping for anything it cannot.
This matters most for indices, metals and anything with a broker suffix — a chart showing NAS100 may need to reach US100.m or similar on your MT4 server.
Mappings are per signal source, so the same alert can reach differently-named instruments on different brokers.
Platform-specific behaviour
MT4 is one of the platforms where a stop can be moved after entry, so a strategy that trails its stop can send a modify alert and MT4 will follow it.
Alerts place no stop or target unless your alert message carries them. If you want protection on every trade, include sl and tp in the alert.
Important limitations
- TradingView must be able to reach the webhook, so alerts have to be created on a TradingView plan that includes webhook notifications.
Setting it up
- 01Connect your MT4 account in ConnectX Copy with its login, password and server.
- 02Create a TradingView signal source and copy its webhook URL.
- 03Attach your MT4 account as a destination and choose its sizing rule.
- 04In TradingView, create the alert, select "Webhook URL", and paste the URL and message template.
- 05Fire a test alert and confirm the trade appears on MT4.
Common use cases
Automating a Pine strategy
A strategy that back-tests well on TradingView can trade a real MT4 account without being rewritten as an Expert Advisor.
One signal, several account sizes
Run the same alert into a small account and a larger one, each sized to its own balance.
Trading from indicator alerts
Alerts do not have to come from a full strategy — any indicator condition can open or close a position.

TradingView → MT4 questions
Do I need an Expert Advisor on MT4?
No. Your MT4 account connects to ConnectX Copy directly, so there is nothing to install in the terminal and nothing to keep running on a VPS.
How fast is the execution?
The order is placed as soon as the alert arrives and the destination is resolved. MT4 uses a real-time push stream rather than polling, so there is no waiting for a cycle.
Can one alert trade several MT4 accounts?
Yes. Attach as many MT4 destinations as you need to the same signal source, each with its own sizing and risk settings.
Will my trades have a stop loss?
Only if the alert carries one. Include sl and tp in the alert message if you want every trade protected, or set protection at account level instead.
Can a later alert move the stop?
Yes on MT4. A modify alert moves the stop or target on the open position.
