Why MT4 to Match-Trader?

Match-Trader is one of the fastest-growing trading platforms today. More and more prop firms and brokers are adopting it as their primary platform. But if your main strategy runs on MT4, you need a way to bridge trades between the two platforms.

ConnectXCopy is one of the very few trade copiers that supports Match-Trader alongside MT4, MT5, cTrader, DXtrade, and TradeLocker.

Step 1: Connect Your MT4 Account

In the ConnectXCopy dashboard, go to Accounts > Add Account:

  • Select MT4 as the platform
  • Enter your account number and trading password
  • Select your broker's server
  • Click Connect — your account details (balance, equity) will appear immediately

Step 2: Connect Your Match-Trader Account

Click Add Account again and select Match-Trader:

  • Enter your Match-Trader account credentials
  • Select your broker from the dropdown
  • The system will discover your trading accounts automatically

Step 3: Create the Copier

Go to Copiers > New Copier:

  • Master: Your MT4 account
  • Slave: Your Match-Trader account
  • Configure lot sizing (balance ratio recommended for different account sizes)
  • Enable SL/TP copying
  • Set equity protection if needed
  • Click Start

That's it. Every trade on your MT4 account is now copied to Match-Trader automatically.

Match-Trader Specifics

Match-Trader handles some things differently from MT4:

  • Symbol names — Match-Trader may use different suffixes or naming conventions. ConnectXCopy's auto-mapping handles most cases.
  • Order types — Market orders, pending orders, SL/TP modifications, and closes are all supported.
  • Execution model — Match-Trader uses market execution. Copied orders execute at the current market price on the Match-Trader side.

Works in Both Directions

You can also copy from Match-Trader to MT4. Simply set Match-Trader as the master and MT4 as the slave. The setup process is identical — just swap the roles.

Why Match-Trader Support Matters

As more prop firms adopt Match-Trader, traders who can't copy between Match-Trader and their existing MT4/MT5 accounts are at a disadvantage. With ConnectXCopy, you're covered no matter which platform your prop firm or broker uses — now or in the future.
