The Account Manager's Challenge
If you manage trading accounts for multiple clients, you know the daily struggle: executing the same strategy consistently across every single account. Doing it manually creates serious problems:
- Different entry prices — By the time you place the same trade on the 5th account, the price has moved. Clients get inconsistent fills.
- Missed trades — In fast markets, you might not have time to place the trade on all accounts before the opportunity passes.
- Hours of repetitive work — Placing, modifying, and closing the same trade across 10+ accounts is tedious and error-prone.
- Inconsistent results — Slight timing differences compound over time, leading to vastly different P/L across client accounts.
How Copy Trading Solves This
With ConnectXCopy, you designate one account as your master (where you execute your strategy) and connect all client accounts as slaves. Every trade you place on the master is instantly and automatically replicated to every client account — with each client's individual risk settings applied.
The result: you trade once, and all clients receive the same trade within milliseconds.
Key Benefits for Account Managers
- One trade, all accounts — Execute once on your master account. Every connected client account receives the same trade within milliseconds, ensuring identical entries.
- Individual risk per client — Each client's copier has its own lot sizing settings. A conservative client gets smaller positions, an aggressive client gets larger ones — all from the same master trade.
- Cross-platform support — Your clients don't all need to be at the same broker. Mix MT4, MT5, cTrader, Tradovate, and DxTrade accounts freely.
- 24/7 cloud operation — ConnectXCopy runs on cloud servers. Your computer can be off and trades still copy to all clients around the clock.
- Complete privacy — Unlike signal services, your strategy is never shared publicly. Only you control which accounts receive your trades.
Step-by-Step Setup for Account Managers
- Add your master (strategy) account — This is the account where you execute your trading strategy. All trades originate here.
- Add each client account — Use the master (trading) password for each client's account. This gives the copier permission to place trades on their behalf.
- Create one copier per client — Each copier links your master to one client's slave account. This gives you individual control over each client's settings.
- Configure individual risk settings — Use Balance Multiplier so lot sizes automatically scale to each client's account balance. See the section below for details.
- Enable equity protection — Set per-client drawdown limits so no single client's account can take excessive losses.
Configuring Risk Settings Per Client
The Balance Multiplier method is ideal for account managers because it automatically adjusts lot sizes based on each client's account balance relative to your master account.
How it works: If your master account has $50,000 and a client has $10,000, the client automatically receives 1/5 of your lot size. No manual calculation needed.
For clients who want more or less risk exposure, adjust the Risk Value on their copier:
| Client Profile | Risk Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Conservative | 0.5 | Half the proportional lot size — lower risk |
| Standard | 1.0 | Proportional to account size — balanced risk |
| Aggressive | 1.5 | 50% more than proportional — higher risk |
| Very Aggressive | 2.0 | Double proportional — maximum exposure |
This means a $10,000 client account with Risk Value 0.5 receiving a trade from a $50,000 master trading 1.0 lot would get: 1.0 × ($10,000 ÷ $50,000) × 0.5 = 0.1 lots.
Best Practices for Account Managers
- Always enable equity protection — Set a 5% daily stop loss on every client account. This limits downside and builds client trust.
- Label your copiers clearly — Use descriptive labels like "Client A – Conservative" or "Client B – Aggressive" so you can quickly identify each setup.
- Monitor the analytics dashboard — Compare performance metrics across all client accounts to ensure copy quality is consistent.
- Use Balance Multiplier (not Lot Multiplier) — This ensures lot sizing automatically adapts when clients deposit or withdraw funds.
- Test with a small trade first — Before going live with a new client, place a 0.01 lot test trade to verify everything is connected and configured correctly.
